LX Health and Mater Hospital are pleased to announce the continuation of their partnership for the LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator program. The program, which enables ten selected startups to expedite commercialization with the help of Mater’s extensive networks and collective expertise across health, education, and research, will continue through 2023.

Last year, the partnership provided valuable insights to the 2022 cohort of health founders from the largest not-for-profit network of public and private healthcare services in Queensland. Dr. Maree Knight, Director of Innovation, praised Mater’s team for their daily pursuit of innovation and their ability to remain a dynamic leader on Queensland’s health and wellbeing landscape.

The LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator is designed to take ten startups through a rapid and immersive program aimed at accelerating growth and commercializing successful, high-growth startups in the healthcare sector. With a strong track record of success, Cohort Innovation Space is excited to support the 2023 cohort through the 14-week program.

According to Cohort Chief Executive Officer Ben Howe, the partnership with Mater is a significant step forward for the healthtech sector and will help grow new digital health companies and drive technology-enabled healthcare forward in Australia. The LuminaX program attracts exceptional founders who are working towards solving big problems in health.

By collaborating with Mater Health, Mater Research, and Mater Education, LuminaX startups will now have the opportunity to connect with, learn from, and be mentored by some of the best clinical and research minds in Australia. This partnership is a testament to Mater’s commitment to innovation and a step forward in driving healthcare advances.

Applications for the LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator program close on March 10 at 5:00pm AEST. Cohort Innovation Space and Mater Hospital are looking forward to reviewing the potential participants for the 2023 cohort this month. The 14-week program is set to launch on the 17th of April through to July at Cohort Innovation Space.
